On 25th July 2016, we held our 9th VIP Classroom. This time, the Gurus met with Mr. Nazrin Hassan - CEO of Cradle Fund (more on his profile below). Some of the key takeaways from this session:
About Nazrin Hassan: Nazrin Hassan began his career in financing with CIMB as a Corporate Finance Executive after graduating from King’s College London, University of London in 1997. In 2003, Nazrin founded the Cradle Investment Program, a technology fund that funds technological ideas and commercialization that is managed under Malaysian Venture Capital Management Berhad. Nazrin then join the Technopreneurs Association of Malaysia (TeAM) from 2006 – 2007, after which he founded Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd. Despite managing Cradle Fund, Nazrin has many roles and involvements. He is a member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum, Advisor to TeAM, Council Member of the National IT Council (NITC) and the Association of Development Finance Institution of Malaysia (ADFIM) and has won the 3rd place in Venture 2001, a first time competition in Malaysia judging their presented business plan, organized by McKinsey, and Malaysian Institute of Management. Nazrin is a very active member in the ICT circles and seeks to drive investment and development for Malaysia in these areas.
