We focus on achieving full employment (or zero unemployment), promoting decent work and tackling underemployment and youth unemployment. We intend to collaborate with the Government, private sector, trade unions and marginalised groups (e.g. Orang Asli, OKU, former convicts, military veterans, single mothers).

Just 3 Hours : “Empathy: Listening to Yourself and Others” is the fifth workshop organized by Nation Building School.
In the previous 4 workshops, 3 were on public speaking and the latest one was on artificial intelligence. The Nation Building School is now looking into more diverse but highly impactful topics that the youth can implement in their daily lives. For this fifth workshop, this topic “Empathy: Listening to Yourself and Others” is specifically related to psychological knowledge and aims to enhance mental wellbeing in the workplace, in school, and at home.
Wow! This has to be the most fun Nation Building School event has ever organised!
The idea behind the #YoungChangemakers was simple. We noticed there are little opportunities for engagements between young changemakers (NGOs, entrepreneurs, activists). What I say engagement, I mean talking and chilling. We found while we tend to meet each other at events like forums and volunteering, the environment wasn't always conducive to have a chat. This makes the avenue for collaboration limited as well. With so much happening in the youth ecosystem, Imagine all the wasted opportunities!
Hence, the Young Changemakers Gathering (YC) was born! Casual monthly gatherings to meet, mingle and share thoughts & ideas. Nothing serious, nothing formal. We only had one agenda: to allow 3 organisations to showcase their initiatives.
So, we had our first YC yesterday night! We brought in 3 amazing organisations: Sedunia, The Picha Project & Me.reka Makerspace. We made all 3 presenters - Faris, Suzanne, Rashvin to present in #PechaKucha. They made us laugh, they made us cry but most importantly, they made us inspired. Many who came told me they went back with new friends and fire in the belly for social impact.
Oh and sorry for the packed room. Liberal Latte Coffee Trade could only fit 50 pax comfortably but we had 80 people! Ooppss! Excited for the next one!!

New year, new idea!
Your favourite school, Nation Building School needs your support for our #CareerClinic.
Over 55,000 young graduates in Malaysia are unemployed due to many reasons -- skills mismatch, poor command of English, lack of working experience.
We plan to do something about this stubbornly high youth unemployment!
NBS is launching Career Clinic to help 200 unemployed university graduates through 6 series of workshops in 6 locations in Klang Valley this year!
We can't do this alone. We need your help!
Here's how you can help our project in our 1st phase:
1. Sign up as a member at this crowd-pledging platform Actyvate at http://actyvate.my
2. Go to our project page and LIKE it at http://actyvate.my/project/career-clinic
Let's do something for our fellow young Malaysians! Thank you in advance!
